Ricardo Cárdenas

Ricardo Cardenas (Medellin, 1966) proposes a reinterpretation of organic forms from linear structures. Although the random involved in creation, they are space and place that transform sculptures, since they live according to its site. Each piece has an individual self-paced physical dynamic that is suggested during its process. The artist always starts with the picture and use it as a constant in all their work. Cárdenas begins his work from sketches, which then move to the sculptures, built structurally using knowledge of engineering. He works in steel, bronze and aluminum, joining welding.
