María Boneo
María Boneo (born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, since 1968 she lives in Argentina).
She starts her studies at Miguel Ángel Bengochea ´s workshop and then enters the National School of Fine Arts, for later expanding her knowledge on sculpture with Aurelio Macchi. In the year 2000 she attends the workshop of the sculptor Leo Vinci, with whom she deepens her technique on wood and alabaster carving. In 2005 she goes to the Statuaria Arte, School of Sculpture, Carrara, Italy. After she returned to the country she took classes at Beatriz Soto García´s atelier, perfecting her marble sculpting skills.
That same year she has a solo show at the Sofitel Hotel and, among the collective exhibitions in which she participated, we can mention Arteaméricas (Del Infinito Arte´s booth) and "Art Yoo", in Uruguay, Punta del Este invited by Phillippe Stark and Joseph Kavana (2008),;the Sixth Edition of the Contemporary Art International Biennial of Florence, Italy (2007) and an exhibition in homage to the Uruguayan sculptor Guillermo Riva-Zucchelli, She lives and works in Buenos Aires.
