Cristina Rochaix
(...) Figures modified and hold in other figures, as notes that receive melodic dimension for their place in the stave. Then the tone. Every color transformed into multiple values and tonalities, contributes its sonorous characteristic, like every instrument to the band. (...) Rochaix is between those artists who insist in looking and finding their "topic" in geometry, further more, she wants her motives to be alive and allude, due to the rhythms, the ambiguous games of figure and background, the chromatic and spatial suggestions and the dinamism of its compositions, to motives of the reality as a phenomenon, either from the natural landscape, the skyscrapers that bristle the cities or the torrid resplendence of one summer evening.
We move far from the area of the obviousnesses. It will be necessary for us to learn to see, as in some moment of the human development it was learned to listen.
