Beto De Volder

Beto De Volder

Beto de Volder (Buenos Aires, 1962) is connected with the world by using lines and curves, omnipresent elements in his work. His soft geometries are unfolded in space in forms puffs up of lines running in different directions by opposing, traversing and intersecting each other, reinforcing their union by the use of plane color. The tension between a constructive spirit and momentum of chance is the mark De Volder’s production. In the way of conception of these works the sustained focus and the urgency of fate are alternated. Both modes, rational projection and intuitive spirit are amalgamated. (Maria Amalia García, Entre el proyecto y la contingencia: De Volder y sus líneas, exhibition catalog, Galería Palatina, 2007).
